Joe McCorriston
Joe McCorriston ist ein unabhängiger Singer-Songwriter aus Lancaster, der sich seine Reputation durch unermüdliches Arbeiten und die schwungvolle energetische Liveshow bei übersichtlicher Instrumentierung (eine Akustikgitarre) verdient hat.
Er wurde am 26 Juli 1994 geboren und nahm seine erste Demo EP 2010 auf, veröffentlichte das erste Album im April 2012 und erntete damit ausschließlich positive Kritiken. Seitdem fanden schon wieder mehr als 20 Touren statt... zum ersten Mal außeralb Engand im Mai 2015, als er den Musiker John Allen auf dessen Deutschland Tour begleitete. Da das so ein großer Erfolg war, verleitete es Joe, die Touren auf Deutschland, durch Europa und darüber hinaus auszudehnen. In gespannter Erwartung harren wir der Veröffentlichung seines neuen Albums, auf dem auch seine Band "The Blockbuster Blues" zum ersten Mal in Erscheinung tritt.

Joe McCorriston is an independent Lancaster-born Singer-Songwriter, who has earnt a reputation for his tireless work rate and upbeat energetic live show, whilst most of the time only armed with an acoustic guitar
He was born on July 26th 1994 Joe recorded his first demo EP “One Day” in 2010, and released his first full length album “Try As You Might” in April 2012, which received solely positive reviews from various online media outlets.
Over 20 more tours have taken place since.
Joe toured outside of the UK for the first time in May 2015, supporting German singer John Allen on a 10-date tour of Germany, which was a huge success, and has since inspired Joe to continue touring around Germany, around Europe, and beyond.
There is eager anticipation as we wait for Joe’s new album, which is set for release in December 2016, and will feature his backing band “The Blockbuster Blues” for the first time.

Dave Giles
In einer Welt, in der Erfolg dadurch defeiniert ist, das meiste Geld zu verdienen und vor den größten Zuschauermengen zu spielen, ist Dave Giles so etwas wie ein frischer Luftzug. Er definiert Erfolg darin, von seiner Musik leben zu können und sieht alles darüber hinaus als Zugabe. Das heißt nicht, dass er nicht ehrgeizig wäre oder womöglich an Lampenfieber litte, bei Weitem nicht - aber es bedeutet, dass er sich seinem Publikum und der Industrie in einer Art und Weise nähert, die sich von den allermeisten Musikern unterscheidet.
Auf gut deutsch: Dave ist keiner dieser stylischen, gut aussehenden Sänger. Er macht lediglich seine Musik und hofft, dass ihm die Leute zuhören und behandelt sie wie echte Menschen und weniger als stastische Größe, um die Leute zu beeindrucken. Im Guten wie im Schlechten spielt er das große Spiel nach seinen Regeln. Jedes Konzert seit 2016 hat er nach dem "Wer zuerst kommt, mahlt zuerst"- und "Zahl was Du willst"- Prinzip gespielt und wird das auch weiterhin so handhaben. Zum Teil als Protest gegen die immens angestiegenen Ticketpreise die überall um sich greifende Habgier in der Musikindustrie, aber auch, weil er Livemusik für eine Kunstform hält, die für jeden zugänglich sein sollte. Da ist er im Tonfink natürlich perfekt aufgehoben.

In a world where success is defined as who is earning the most money and playing to the biggest crowds, Dave Giles is a breath of fresh air. He defines success as being able to make a living off of playing his music and everything on top is just a bonus. This doesn’t mean he isn’t ambitious or shy of a big crowd, far from it, but it does mean his approach to his audience and the industry is very different from almost anyone musician you've ever met.
Basically, Dave isn't one of those stylish, good looking singers.
He just does his music and hopes that people listen and treats them like they’re real humans rather than just statistics to impress people.
If there are games to be played in this industry, Dave is on another pitch altogether. For better or worse, he’s doing it on his terms.
Any tour he has organised since 2016 has featured first come first serve “Pay What You Want” tickets and he will continue to do this (obviously support slots don’t allow this option). Partly in protest to the huge rise in ticket prices and the greed he sees within the industry, not just from artists, but from all the other people involved in live events who are taking a huge cut, but also because he things that live music is an art form and it should be experienced by all.
