Long Tall Jefferson feat. Travels & Trunks (CH/D)

Long Tall Jefferson’s Debütalbum erschien am 1. April auf dem von ihm gegründeten Künstlerkollektiv Red Brick Chapel. Dieses ist als Verein organisiert – somit zahlt übrigens jeder Act der dabei ist (bspw. Gaia, Vsitor oder Fridge) einen Mitgliederbeitrag. Dafür spricht Simon Borer, welcher hinter Long Tall Jefferson steckt, liebevoll von seiner Familie wenn`s um die rote, backsteinerne Kapelle geht. “I Want My Honey Back” heisst die Platte und enthält neun folkig angehauchte Song und erscheint auf “Postkarte mit Downloadcode” und Vinyl.

Long Tall Jefferson is a busy man. As the founder of Red Brick Chapel and a travelling musician with a handful of different bands it might seem that his first solo album is just a folky side-project. But that is by any means not the case - this is his bloody heart and soul!

Geplant als ganze Band hat sich Travels & Trunks zum Soloprojekt des Sängers Julius entwickelt, der mit seiner neuen Platte im Gepäck, Rock, Folk und Country in den Tonfink bringt. Und mit seiner warmen Stimme bekommen wir vielleicht noch einen Hauch Sonne in den herbst.

travels & trunks started out as a four piece and since time moves on and circumstances change, it happened to end up as some kind of a solo project or rather a loose collaboration between some friends/musicians and me.
