Mit dem Kopf im Kosmos, mit den Füßen auf der Erde - Ailsa McEwans (alias Ailsa and the Seahorses) unverwechselbare Art von ätherischem Indie spricht das Metaphysische an, während sie von der Wärme ihres leisen, ehrlichen Gesangs getragen wird. Nach ihrem Nomadenleben als Straßenmusikerin hat sie ihre Musik durch Europa, ihre Heimat Großbritannien und Kanada getragen. Als sie nach 5 Jahren in Berlin in ihre schottische Heimat zurückkehrte, brachte sie ihr Debütalbum „Hermit“ mit - eine Sammlung von Liedern, die von einer Reise durch Introspektion und Hoffnung erzählen. Ailsas Musik nimmt das Leben in all seiner Schönheit und seinem Schmerz auf und blickt, obwohl sie nostalgisch ist, in eine hellere Zukunft und spricht zu denen, die durch turbulente Zeiten gewachsen sind.
