Als Support von Künstlern wie Frank Turner, James Walsh (Starsailor) und The Bluetones hat sich Rob Clamp einen Namen als dynamischer und fesselnder Performer gemacht. Es kommt nicht oft vor, dass man eine Stimme mit solch einer kontrollierten Kraft findet: Selbst in den emotionalen Höhen und Tiefen der Songs behält Robs Stimme eine Reinheit und Fokussierung, die nur allzu selten vorkommt. Wohin ihn sein Songwriting auch führt, seine Stimme passt sich dem jeweiligen Genre an, von Pop über Folk bis hin zu Roots.

Der aus Southampton stammende Rob wurde von der BBC vorgestellt, hat den hoch angesehenen Wettbewerb Purbeck Rising 2022„ gewonnen und sich damit einen Namen in der britischen Folkszene gemacht. Außerdem hat er das Sofia International Singer Songwriter Festival 2022“ in Bulgarien gewonnen. Robs Musik ist stark beeinflusst von Künstlern wie Ben Howard, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers und Bruce Springsteen und enthält Erfahrungen aus dem wahren Leben, die er in seinem eigenen fesselnden Erzählstil vorträgt.

Die letzten Jahre waren für Rob sehr ereignisreich, mit zahlreichen ausverkauften Shows in ganz Südengland und auf dem europäischen Festland. Sein Debütalbum Lost Soul„ wurde im Frühjahr 2024 mit seiner langjährigen Begleitband The Ashmen“ veröffentlicht. Die Band besteht aus Sam Weeks (Schlagzeug und Banjo), Ben Reid (Klavier, Gitarre und Mandoline), Ed Bentley (Bass) und Dave Elliott (Geige und Mundharmonika). Die Gruppe ist zum Synonym für dynamische und kraftvolle Auftritte geworden und hat einen Sound, der groß genug ist, um vor mehreren tausend Menschen zu funktionieren.

His debut album ‘Lost Soul’ was released in Spring 2024 featuring his longstanding supporting band, ‘The Ashmen’. The band consists of; Sam Weeks (drums & banjo), Ben Reid (piano, guitar and mandolin), Ed Bentley (bass) and Dave Elliott (violin & harmonica). The group have become synonymous with dynamic and powerful performances and have been touted as having a sound big enough to work well in front of several thousand people.
