Er ist bekannt für sein eklektisches Songwriting und seine atemberaubenden Live-Auftritte und hat die letzten 20 Jahre auf internationalen Tourneen verbracht (Großbritannien, Europa, USA und Asien).

James hat gerade sein 10. Soloalbum veröffentlicht, eine üppige alternative Folk-Pop-Platte, die ein Triumph der unaufdringlichen Anmut ist. In seiner Wahlheimat wurde es mit Nachdruck aufgenommen, es war „Album der Woche“ in der großen tschechischen Musikpresse, und die Single „Diamond Girl“ wurde von einer Reihe von Radios (national und lokal) sowie in den USA und den Niederlanden gespielt.
„Dies ist mein Post-Covid/Post-Unfall-Therapie-Album“, scherzt Harries. “Ich bin in das abgelegene Haus eines Freundes in den Bergen geflüchtet, um eine lange Liste von Songs aufzunehmen, die ich über einen Zeitraum von 18 Monaten geschrieben hatte, als ich nicht auf Tournee gehen konnte. Es ist wahrscheinlich meine intimste und roheste Platte bis heute. Eigentlich sollte es ein reines Soloalbum werden, aber dann traf ich ein paar Freunde von der tschechischen Philharmonie und holte zwei weitere Freunde dazu, die Schlagzeug spielten und bei ein paar Songs ein wenig Gitarre beisteuerten.

“This is my post-covid/post-accident therapy album” jokes Harries “I escaped to a friend’s remote house in the mountains to record a long list of songs that I’d written over an 18 month period when I wasn’t able to tour. It’s possibly my most intimate and raw record to date. I intended it to be a completely solo record but then I ran into some friends from the Czech Philharmonic and called in 2 other friends to play drums and add a little guitar on a couple of songs and it then took on a life of its own.”He is about to release his 10th solo album, a lush alternative folk-pop record rimming with emotion and majestic songs.
