Sylvan Weekends (UK)
Sylvan Weekends wurde im Sommer 2022 im Wald gegründet und bringt Matthew (Folk), Freya (Instrumental-Elektro) und Daniel (Rock) zusammen. Der einheitliche Gesang der Co-Autoren Matthew und Freya sorgt für ein nostalgisches Gefühl - eine Oktave höher schwingt die doppelte Frequenz mit und beide Stimmen zusammen haben eine emotionale Resonanz. Die Hinzufügung von Synthesizern und cleverer Percussion treibt die Songs an und bringt sie in Bewegung.
Es ist schwierig, ein Genre zu bestimmen - aber eine Melodie, die sich im Kopf festsetzt, ist es nicht.
Matthew ist der Frontmann der erfolgreichen Folk-Band Keston Cobblers Club, mit der er eine illustre Live-Karriere hingelegt hat, darunter eine Arena-Support-Tour mit Paul Heaton & Jaqui Abbot von Beautiful South, Bellowhead, die ausverkaufte Union Chapel als KCC und Auftritte auf Festivals wie Glastonbury, Bestival & Wilderness. Sein Songwriting wurde von BBC-Legenden wie Bob Harris, Dermot O'Leary ("Jeder Song ist ein absoluter Killer...Sie sind fantastisch") und Steve Lamacq ("Eine der besten Neuentdeckungen, die ich gemacht habe") in den höchsten Tönen gelobt.
Freya hat sich unter dem Namen Freya Lily einen Ruf für Instrumentalmusik ("absolut erstaunlich, eine melodische Meisterklasse") und Folkmusik ("wie Laura Marling trifft Jade Bird") erworben. Sie ist regelmäßig in Podcasts bei BBC Sounds zu hören und hat durch ihre Arbeit als Session-Sängerin mit LCV mit Legenden wie Basement Jaxx, The Staves, Imogen Heap, Jools Holland und vielen anderen in einer Vielzahl von epischen Veranstaltungsorten wie dem Southbank Centre, EartH Hackney und Barbican gespielt.
Daniel hat 3 Studioalben und 7 Europatourneen als Teil der Folkband Stables (mit Matthew) absolviert und spielte auf Festivals in ganz Europa, darunter Glastonbury und Cambridge Folk Festival, wo er der König des Multitaskings ist - Falsett-Harmonien, Ukulele und Schlagzeug gleichzeitig.

Matthew fronts successful folk band Keston Cobblers Club with whom he has built an illustrious live career, including an arena support tour with Paul Heaton & Jaqui Abbot of Beautiful South, Bellowhead, selling out Union Chapel as KCC & playing festivals such as Glastonbury, Bestival & Wilderness. His songwriting has earned raucous praise from BBC Legends such as Bob Harris, Dermot O’Leary (“Every song is an absolute killer...They’re terrific”) & Steve Lamacq (“One of the best new discoveries I’ve made”).
Freya has earned a reputation for instrumental music under Freya Lily (“absolutely astounding, a melodic masterclass”) & folk music alike (“like Laura Marling meets Jade Bird”). She’s had regular podcast features on BBC Sounds, & through work as a session vocalist with LCV has performed with legends including Basement Jaxx, The Staves, Imogen Heap, Jools Holland, & more, in a host of epic venues such as The Southbank Centre, EartH Hackney & Barbican.
Daniel has completed 3 studio albums, and 7 European tours as part of folk band Stables (with Matthew), and played festivals across Europe including Glastonbury and Cambridge Folk Festival, during which he’s the king of multi-tasking - falsetto harmonies, ukulele and drums all at the same time.
