Bobbo Byrnes (USA)
Nachdem er von Boston nach Kalifornien gezogen war, gründete er eine der führenden Americana-Rock-Bands in Orange County, The Fallen Stars. Heute tourt er hauptsächlich solo und spielt auf Festivals und Hauskonzerten, wobei er Rock'n'Roll-Energie, Country-Instrumentierung und Folk-inspirierte Erzählungen miteinander verbindet. Bobbo hat als Jugendlicher zu viel Kerouac gelesen, und obwohl er nicht mehr trampen geht, ist er im Herzen immer noch ein Vagabund, der seinen Weg fortsetzen will - singen und klimpern, Geschichten lernen und teilen, mit Menschen in Kontakt treten und eine Spur des Glücks hinterlassen.
Während seiner Europatournee im Herbst 2022 buchte Bobbo eine Aufnahmesession bei Hansa in Deutschland und Windmill Lane in Irland und nahm sein neues Album in nur diesen zwei Tagen auf. Mit dem, was er dabei hatte - Akustikgitarre, Mandoline, Delay-Pedal und E-Bow - hat er unterwegs einige neue Songs geschrieben, Bowie in Berlin und Trad in Dublin nachempfunden, und das neue Album "October" wird bereits mit Glen Hansard, The Waterboys und Ed Sheeran verglichen. Bobbo bucht derzeit US- und Europa-Tourneen für 2023.
Bobbo organisierte Auftritte für die OC Food Bank (und sammelte dabei genug Geld für über 7.000 Mahlzeiten), das Women's Transitional Living Center in Orange County, CA, das Trans Empowerment Project, nahm eine EP mit von John Lewis inspirierter Musik auf und spendete den Erlös an die John and Lillian Miles Lewis Foundation für das Wahlrecht. Außerdem Benefizveranstaltungen für Stacey Abrams/Fair Fight, BEAM (Black Emotional And Mental Health in L.A.), Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, Harbor Homes (Obdachlose in New Hampshire), LA/OC Food Banks, Quilts for Empowerment (Geburtsfisteln in Kenia) und Equality Now (Kampf gegen Gewalt gegen Frauen auf der ganzen Welt).

After moving from Boston to SoCal, he founded one of Orange County’s leading Americana Rock bands, The Fallen Stars. He tours mostly solo now, playing festivals to house concerts, blending rock and roll energy, country flavored instrumentation and folk inspired storytelling. Bobbo read too much Kerouac as a youth and though he no longer hitchhikes he is still a vagabond at heart seeking to continue on his path - singing and strumming, learning and sharing stories, connecting with people and leaving a wake of happiness behind him.
While on tour in Europe in autumn of 2022, Bobbo booked a recording session at Hansa in Germany and Windmill Lane in Ireland and recorded his new album in just those two days. Using what he had on him, acoustic guitar, mandolin, delay pedal and e-bow, he crafted some new songs on the road, channeled Bowie in Berlin and some trad in Dublin and the new album “October” is already drawing comparisons to Glen Hansard, The Waterboys and Ed Sheeran. Bobbo is currently booking US and European tours for 2023.
