somethingski (PL)
SOMETHINGSKI ist ein neues Projekt des Sängers, Komponisten und Multiinstrumentalisten Nikodem Soszyński, der unter anderem von der Band Freeborn Brothers bekannt ist, mit der er Hunderte, wenn nicht Tausende von Konzerten an vielen Orten in Europa und auf der ganzen Welt spielte. Live treten sie als Trio mit Banjos, Schlagzeug, Kontrabass, Geigen und einigen anderen Instrumenten auf. Energiegeladene Songs, gepaart mit humorvollen Ansagen und langsameren Kompositionen, sorgen bei den Auftritten des Somethingski Trios für gute Laune.
Im Jahr 2020 nahm er sein erstes Album mit dem Titel THINGS auf, und Anfang 2021 wurde das Album veröffentlicht. Innerhalb einer Woche erreichte der Song "Na Dolinach" aus diesem Album den ersten Platz in der Podkarpacie-Hitliste. Das Album besteht aus zehn Liedern in einem sehr unterschiedlichen Stil, von Folk über Rock bis hin zu Tanzhits, die sich auf die 70er Jahre der polnischen Popmusik beziehen.
2022 nahm das Somethingski Trio zusammen mit der preisgekrönten Folksängerin Daria Kosiek das Album "Puszcza" auf, das auf ländlicher polnischer Volksmusik basiert und mit modernem Touch gespielt und aufgenommen wurde. Für 2023 ist ein zweites Longplay-Album angekündigt, das bereits durch die beiden Singles "Holy, Holy" und "Od Północy do Południa" beworben wird - ein Lied, das seit einigen Wochen auf PSP Radio Rzeszów zu hören ist.
Bisher ist die Band in mehreren europäischen Ländern aufgetreten (u.a. Deutschland, Belgien, Niederlande, Slowakei, Frankreich, Luxemburg) und hat auf einigen großen Festivals (u.a. Muddy Roots Festival 2022, Roots in Het Park 2022, Pottery Fair 2022 , Leśny Hippie Festival 2022) und in einigen der besten Clubs im alten Land gespielt (u.a. MEZZ Breda, Niederlande, Patronage Harlem, Niederlande, De Kaai, Nijmegen, Niederlande).

SOMETHINGSKI is a new project of the singer, composer and multi-instrumentalist Nikodem Soszyński, known, among others, from the Freeborn Brothers band, with whom he played hundreds if not thousands of concerts in many places in Europe and around the world.
In 2020, he recorded his first album entitled THINGS, and in the beginning of 2021 the album was released. Within a week, the song from this album titled “Na Dolinach” reached the first place in the Podkarpacie List of Hits. The album consists of ten songs in a very diverse style, from folk to rock, through dance hits referring to the 70s of Polish popular music.
In 2022 together with awarded folk singer Daria Kosiek, Somethingski Trio made and album called „Puszcza” which is based on rural polish folk music and played and recorded with modern touch. Second long play album is announced for 2023, which is already promoted by two singles “Holy, Holy” and “Od Północy do Południa” – a song that has been present on PSP Radio Rzeszów for several weeks.

Live performances are a trio featuring banjos, drums, double bass, violins, and a few other instruments. Energetic songs intertwined with humorous announcements and slower compositions will ensure a great time during the performances of Somethingski Trio
