Yusuf Sahilli ist ein Multi-Instrumentalist und großstädtischer Indie-Pop Musiker aus Berlin. Yusuf Sahilli mag klingen wie ein Blues-Musiker oder ein Neoromantiker, wenn er so über wilde Nächte voller Suche dahinbrummt oder seine süße Tenorstimme sich lustvollen melancholischen Stimmungen hingibt. Völlig auf globale Klänge fokussiert und übersprudelnd vor grenzenloser Leidenschaft fürs Wohlgefühl und Sympathie für die ganze weite Welt.
Yusuf fühlt sich verbunden mit dem Alternative Rock Soundtrack seiner Generation und grub sich tief und schnell durch die Geschichte. Von den Dinosauriern des Rock und dem goldenen Zeitalter es Pop durch die Hippie-Ära, den 60er Beat und die Protestbewegung bis ganz hindurch zu den Gründungsvätern des Blues im Delta.
Halb Türke, und halb Syrer. Vollkommen Deutsch. Lebte in Australien und Liverpool. Bereiste die Welt. Arbeitete für einen Global Player der internationalen Popusik. Aber nun konzentriert er sich auf seine eigene Karriere als Musiker und Produzent vielversprechender authentischer Künstler, für das er Platten auf seinem Studio-Schiff MS Heiterkeit in Berlin produziert und darauf, heimatlosen geflüchteten Musikern in Not unterstützend zur Seite zu stehen.
Er ist weltoffen, freundlich und gesellig. Hat Lust auf kleine Party - oder eine große! Mag Dinge schnell. Trägt ein Lächeln hinter seinen Schatten. Und nimmt seine Gitarre, Klaviatur und die Pedal Steel um der Bedeutung des Ganzen einen Gedanken hinzuzufügen.
Was machen wir eigentlich wirklich hier auf diesem Planeten? Wohin gehen wir? Können wir die Welt retten? Was wird von uns bleiben wenn wir verschwinden? Und wonach streben wir, bevor das passiert? Letzteres ist einfach: Liebe und Hingabe! Wenn die Beiden gesichert sind, werden sich die Dinge wie von selbst ordnen.

Yusuf Sahilli might sound like a blues man, or a new romantic, growling about wild nights spent searching, or letting his sweet tenor voice indulge in lustful melancholy moods. Fully buzzed on global sounds and brimming with boundless feel good passion and sympathy for the whole wide world.
Yusuf had connected to the Alternative Rock soundtrack of his generation and dug deep and fast into the history of the trade. From the Rock dinosaurs and the golden age of Pop through the Hippie era, the Beat of the Sixties and the protest movement right down to the founding fathers of the Blues in the Delta.
Half Turk and half Syrian. Fully German. Lived in Australia and Liverpool. Travelled the world. Worked for a global player in international pop music. But now he's focussing on his own career as a musician and running his own label to release promising authentic artists, producing records on studio ship MS Heiterkeit in Berlin and lending a mentoring hand to expatriate refugee musicians in need on the side.
He is open-minded, affable, sociable. Fancies a little party – or a big one! Likes things fast. Carries a smile behind his shades. And takes his guitar, keys and pedal steel to lend an Indie Rock thought to the meaning of it all.
What are we really doin’ on this planet? Where are we goin’? Can we save the world? What will remain of us when we leave? And what are we runnin’ on before that will happen? Last one is easy – love and compassion! If those are assured, things will fall into place pretty fast. And be it with the help of the coffee grounds that finally persuaded his father to buy him his first electric guitar.
Backed by his duo of faithful companions Damian Giambazi and Martin Krümmling – the three piece bring their enticing Indie Rock breed on stage with plenty of grace – three part harmony vocals and all.
