In jeder ihrer Kreationen liegt die unzweifelhafte Fähigkeit und Leidenschaft Musik zu kreieren, die wahrhaftig Menschen verbindet. Eigensinnig hält sie uns den Spiegel hin, um unsere Einsamkeit und Ängste aufzuzeigen, dabei bietet sie immer eine tröstende Hand und ein Verständnis, das beängstigend pur, heilend und außergewöhnlich ist.

Die gebürtige US-Amerikanerin Ruby Jean Rose zog bereits als Teenager nach Großbritannien und begann damals direkt, in lokalen Bars zu spielen, wo sie auch große Künstler wie Marcus Foster unterstützte. Nach Ihrer Schulzeit arbeitete als Sound-Technikerin und organisierte Konzerte aber sie wusste immer, dass ihr Platz zum Krach machen auf der Bühne war.

Sie entschied sich dazu, nach Berlin zu ziehen um sich selbst als Künstlerin und Performerin voranzubringen. In Zusammenarbeit mit verschiedenen Künstlern auch in England entstanden in der Folge ein eigenes Album und eine Single sowie andere Kooperationen. Das Wichtigste, das in dieser Zeit aber passierte, war, dass sie Ihre Musik auf die Straße brachte.

2017 tat sie sich mit dem Banjo-Spieler und Sänger David Stewart Ingleton zusammen. Zusammen entwickelten sie Rubys eigene Art von Americana weiter, während sie durch Europatourten und zwei EPs mit Tomas Peralta aufnahmen. Ihre Einzigartigkeit innerhalb des Genres zog weitere Künstler an, die die Konzerte sogar noch vielfältiger machten. Seitdem kehrte Rub auch die USA und nach UK zurück, um zu touren und auf Festivals zu spielen, während sie regelmäßig weiterhin auf europäischen Straßen und in Irish Pubs unterwegs ist. Für Ruby gibt es überall eine Bühne.

Das Jahr 2019 führte Ruby in eine neue Richtung: Sie komponierte Instrumentalstücke für Kurzfilme auf dem Cello. Außerdem begann sie wieder damit, Kabarett zu spielen, jetzt mit deutlicherem Fokus auf Theater und Geschichten. Dass der Folk aber nach wie vor durch ihre Venen fließt, beweist das neue Album, das in diesem Jahr erscheinen wird.

Ruby Jean Rose is a singer/songwriter & musician born in the US but moved to the UK as a teenager. She started playing in the local bars right away, supporting great artists such as Marcus Foster.

After she left school she started working as a live sound engineer and organising concerts (Carnivalesque 2013) but she knew her place was on stage making the noise. She decided to move to Berlin to push herself as an artist and performer. With regular trips to the UK, she recorded and album and single with Simon Rompani & Keith Clarke (Ain't Gonna Break & Shiver), supported artists such as Dodgy and The Beat then co - wrote a song with Jamie Freeman (Bad Girls). The most important thing that happened to her in this time was bringing her music to the street.

 In 2017 she teamed up with David Stewart Ingleton & Tomas Peralta. Together they further developed Ruby's own brand of Americana by recording two EPs (Putt Putt & Hacksaw) and touring Europe. Her unique take on the genre began to attract more live performers only making her concerts more diverse. Ruby returned to the US & UK the following year to perform at venues and Festivals such as Hotel Cafe (LA) and Red Rooster Festival (Suffolk) while still touring Europe; playing on the streets and Irish bars.

2019 led Rose down yet another new direction - composing instrumental pieces on her first instrument, the cello, for short films. She also returned to running Cabaret shows, this time in Berlin with a heavier focus on theatrics & storyline. Folk is still in her veins as she plans to record her 3rd album with Jamie Freeman later this year.

Within each creation lies an undeniable ability and passion to create music that truly connects people. She willfully holds the mirror to reveal our loneliness and fears, yet provides a comforting hand and an understanding that is terrifyingly pure, healing and sublime.
