Kendy Gable (USA)

Kendy Gable wuchs auf einer Farm in den Feldern und Bergen von Pennsylvania auf. Heutzutage lebt sie in Berlin und New York City. Die Erfahrungen aus dem Landleben und dem Leben in der Großstadt spiegeln sich stets in ihrer Musik wieder. Ihre Songs fangen die echten, rohen und schönsten Aspekte des Lebens ein und erinnern an Neko Case, eine junge Joni Mitchell, Nick Drake oder Leonard Cohen und zeugen von Ehrlichkeit und Tiefe.

Kendy spielt Musik und singt seit sie 4 Jahre alt ist. Sie begann, sich komplett auf ihre Leidenschaft, das Songschreiben, zu fokussieren, während sie 2008 in Melbourne lebte. Zwei Jahre später zog sie nach New York City, und wurde in verschiedenen Musikszenen zwischen Manhattan und Brooklyn als Singer-Songwriterin aktiv. Seitdem spielte sie durchgängig Konzerte in den USA (New World Stages (Broadway Theatre), Rockwood Music Hall, Sirius XM Radio in Washington, DC., World Cafe Live), sowie auf zahlreichen europäischen Bühnen.

Kendy’s Debut Album, "Always, Somewhere It is Morning," - produziert von Andy Baldwin (St. Lucia, Foster the People, Bonaparte) in den Rola Pola Studios - erschien am 12. Juli 2014 . Das zweite Studioalbum "The Knowledge of the North Woods" soll im Sommer 2017 erscheinen. Momentan ist Kendy zusammen mit ihrer Band, bestehend aus dem Multi-Instrumentalisten Claudio Donzelli (Mighty Oaks) und der Cellistin Marie-Claire Schlameus (Robert Koch, The Cinematic Orchestra, Thunderkat) auf der Bühne zu sehen.

Kendy Gable grew up in the farm fields and mountains of central Pennsylvania on a Guernsey dairy cattle farm. She now divides her time between Berlin, Germany and New York City. The mix of country life and city life is prominent in her music. Influenced by Neko Case, Joni Mitchell, Nick Drake and Leonard Cohen there is an honesty and depth in her lyrics.
Kendy's most notable New York City performances have been at Joe's Pub, Symphony Space, New World Stages (Broadway Theatre), Pete's Candy Store, Rockwood Music Hall, Barbes, Jalopy Theatre, the Rockshop, Sidewalk Cafe, Postcrypt Coffee House, Pianos, and many great art spaces and lofts. Additionally, Kendy has performed at World Cafe Live (WXPN Philadelphia) and on Sirius XM Radio in Washington, DC.
She released her second album titled, "Always, Somewhere, It is Morning" on July 11, 2014. The album was recorded and mixed by Andy Baldwin (St. Lucia, Elle King, Foster the People, Bonaparte) of Rola Pola Studios in Brooklyn, NY and mastered by Brian Lele of Santa Cecilia Sound in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The newest album, "The Knowledge of the North Woods" co-produced with Adam Chilenski is set to release on July 12, 2017.
